LandOpt awards top performers, gives back at annual meeting

At the annual Principals Meeting and Success Celebration the company passed out awards and donated bikes to the Boys & Girls Club.


Pittsburgh, PA – March 12, 2018 – LandOpt Contractors met for their Annual Principals Meeting and Success Celebration February 27 – March 1 in Daytona Beach, Florida. This yearly event is held to recognize the top performers in the LandOpt Network, and to discuss the company’s overarching commitments such as growth, continued success, strategic training, education and coaching.

Each year, LandOpt Network GMs and sales professional take part in a team-building activity to foster peer relationships. “We do something different every year,” says LandOpt product development manager Andrew Dickson. “Whether it’s a scavenger hunt, team karaoke, or even LandOpt Olympics.”

This year’s activity required participants to break into teams and go on a scavenger hunt to locate and assemble bike pieces hidden throughout the Daytona Beach Hilton. The team that finished in the least amount of time, crossed the finish line and passed assembly inspection would win the competition.

Essay contest winners from the Boys & Girls Club of Volusia/Flagler Counties arrived to receive the finished bikes.

Top performers were also honored at the annual meeting. Contractor of the Year went to The Greathouse Company, with 303% recurring sales vs. plan and $1.4 million maintenance base. Rookie Contractor of the year was awarded to Pickel Landscape Group of Landenberg, Pennsylvania, a full-service landscape company that designs and maintains outdoor spaces for the residents of southern Chester County, Pennsylvania, and northern Delaware.

Will Hickman of Carolina Creations in Shallotte, North Carolina, was awarded Sales Professional of the Year, and Newton Emerson from Mountainview Landscapes & Lawncare of Chicopee, Massachusetts was awarded Rookie Sales Professional of the Year. “It’s been a very long process for me personally,” Hickman shares. LandOpt’s most prestigious award, the President’s Award, is awarded to the company that has shown the most significant growth internally and within the LandOpt Network, with particular focus on quality over quantity. Belknap Landscape Company from Gilford, NH took home this year’s award. Belknap is a family-owned business located in the beautiful Lakes Region of New Hampshire.
