Kayla Brugman will serve as T&O product manager and Alison McFee will be Bayer’s new herbicide product manager.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Environmental Science, a business unit of the Crop Science division of Bayer, announced Kayla Brugman has been appointed T&O product manager and Alison McFee has been appointed herbicide product manager.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Kayla and Alison to our team,” said Glenn Rougier, head of marketing for the Bayer Turf & Ornamentals business. “With extensive backgrounds in customer analysis and strategy, as well as deep industry expertise, both are uniquely positioned to understand core customer needs and lead short- and long-term marketing plans that deliver the best possible value to our customers.”

Kayla Brugman, turf & ornamentals product manager, will manage ongoing collaboration with the broader product management team in the conceptualization, planning and implementation of strategic marketing plans that effectively address the evolving needs of Bayer customers. Brugman joined the Crop Science division of Bayer in 2014 as a member of the Commercial Excellence Leadership Program where she led projects and completed rotations in customer strategy, marketing communications and product management. Brugman earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration from Iowa State University.

“Bayer has a lot of momentum after having just launched several innovations in the T&O market,” Brugman said, referring to the recent launches of Altus insecticide, Exteris Stressgard fungicide and Indemnify nematicide. “It’s an exciting time for Bayer, and I’m thrilled to be collaborating with a diverse team to bring even more innovations to our customers.”

Alison McFee, herbicide product manager, will collaborate with product development, regulatory, supply chain and customer service teams to harness customer insights and develop comprehensive marketing plans for the herbicide portfolio. In her five years with Bayer, she most recently served as programs and incentives manager for the Bayer Crop Science division. In this role, she ensured implementation and optimization of local pricing strategies to meet strategic business objectives. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing with a minor in communications studies from the University of Iowa.

“I’m excited to work with an integrated team to address customer needs and continue to strengthen our herbicide offerings,” McFee said, noting proven innovations Specticle and Celsius. “Turf and ornamental professionals are facing many challenges and solving those challenges while identifying key growth opportunities for our customers is a big part of what I’m looking forward to in this role.”
