LandCare hires two, promotes one

The company hired a regional controller and branch manager, and it named a new operations manager.

SAN DIEGO – LandCare hired Kristin Whatcott and Jay Rodriguez to the teams in Texas/Oklahoma and Orange County, California, respectively. Whatcott will serve as regional controller for the Texas/Oklahoma branches and Rodriguez will serve as branch manager of the Orange County North branch. Additionally, LandCare promoted Quinton Peak to serve as operational manager in San Antonio.

Quinton PeakPeak, pictured right, began his career at LandCare in 2015 as a manager in training in Dallas. Since then, he has served as account manager and became a licensed chemical applicator and irrigation technician. Effective June 1, Peak will step up to serve as operations manager in San Antonio.

Whatcott has over 10 years of accounting experience in various industries, including construction, transportation and chemical manufacturing. She plans to use her accounting background to help the Texas/Oklahoma teams grow.

Rodriguez has been in the landscape industry for his entire career. He is a licensed landscape contractor, landscape architect, pesticide applicator and certified arborist in California. He has also taught landscape architecture classes at UCLA for seven years. To the new job, he brings a vast knowledge of horticulture and a passion for teaching.
