PETALUMA, Calif. – HydroPoint Data Systems has acquired smart irrigation provider Baseline, Inc. based in Boise, Idaho.
Following record revenue growth for both companies in 2015 and 2016 year to date, HydroPoint’s acquisition of Baseline brings an array of smart water management technologies to the HydroPoint 360 Smart Water Management platform and expands its geographic footprint. Baseline will continue to operate as an independent company, and HydroPoint will invest in both the Boise operations and the Baseline product line.
“Baseline’s extensive background in managing irrigation for the world’s most complex sites, combined with their widely recognized superior moisture sensors and two wire technology, are an incredible addition to our platform,” said HydroPoint CEO Chris Spain. “Of course, technology is only a part of HydroPoint’s ultimate success. The Baseline team also brings years of experience and expertise in design and specification sales complimenting HydroPoint’s depth and proven success in channel and enterprise sales.”
Regarding HydroPoint’s strategy moving forward for the Baseline solution, Spain said, “We’ve been very impressed by Baseline’s revenue and technology momentum, and agree the best strategy is to continue to invest in that momentum.”
Baseline’s CEO Joe Wallace is excited about the acquisition’s potential and said, “This truly shifts both organizations into a higher gear.”
