MEMPHIS, Tenn. – TruGreen received a Community Partnership award from the National Association of Landscape Professionals. Jeff Fedorchak, TruGreen’s vice president of community affairs, also received NALP’s Advocacy Award.
TruGreen won the Community Partnership award for “outstanding company culture” because of its national TruNeighbor program, which is dedicated to completing renovations projects across the U.S., and its Lawn Stars program where top performing branches donate to charities of their choice.
“We’re extremely proud to win this prestigious community partnership award celebrating our leadership in helping enhance and restore communities,” Fedorchak said.
In addition, Fedorchak received NALP’s Advocacy Award, which honors individuals who have demonstrated exceptional efforts to help NALP represent and defend the interests of the industry on a state or federal level. Fedorchak was recognized for his work managing NALP’s Public Affairs Advisory Council, the Pesticide Preemption and his focus on state and local regulatory issues.
NALP’s Community Partnership Awards honor companies that demonstrate exceptional leadership in helping to restore or revive local communities or communities nationwide. This year, three companies including TruGreen received the award. The following other companies also received the award:
• LandCare, San Diego – The company received the Community Partnership for outstanding company culture because of its National Community Care Day that allows each of its 50 branches to create a volunteer service project in their own communities.
• MasterScapes, Abilene, Texas –The company received the Community Partnership for outstanding service project because of its work renovating and providing year-round maintenance for a popular local children’s park and garden.
