BEDFORD HILLS, N.Y. – SavATree added Mark Garvin, former president and CEO of the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA), to its team.
Prior to joining SavATree, Garvin worked for TCIA for 22 years, including as president and CEO from 2009 until March 2018. TCIA’s mission is to "advance tree care businesses" while establishing safety and education standards.
In the new position, Garvin will primarily work with SavATree’s mergers and acquisitions team, helping to identify partners that share the company’s core values, which are centered on employees, customers and sustainability. In recent years, SavATree has expanded rapidly into new regions and markets, including Colorado and Georgia. The company plans to build on this momentum going forward.
“Mark brings with him an incredible knowledge of this industry,” said Daniel van Starrenburg, CEO of SavATree. “He will be a great asset to us going forward. We’re excited to have him on the team.”
