Alsip, IL – Nufarm Americas announced it has been granted federal EPA registration for Sure Power Selective Herbicide, designed to help get control of the most challenging broadleaf weeds.
Sure Power utilizes a four-way active ingredient combination of 2,4-D, Triclopyr, Fluroxypyr and Flumioxazin. It offers early-season and late-season control of more than 250 weeds, including broadleaves that impact turf appearance and quality.
“Sure Power herbicide represents a new standard in weed control,” said Jason Fausey, PhD, Nufarm Turf & Ornamentals Technical Services Director. “It is a fast-acting broad-spectrum herbicide that controls some of the most challenging weeds, such as ground ivy and wild violet.”
Field trials conducted at Michigan State University led by Department of Plant, Soil, & Microbial Science Research Assistant, Aaron Hathaway, found that Sure Power delivered 98 percent control over broadleaf weeds after 39 days when compared to SpeedZone.
“Sure Power has consistently provided fast burndown of broadleaf weeds,” Hathaway said. “As well as long-term control in our field trials.”
Sure Power is now registered in 24 states. Watch for Sure Power registration in your state at www.nufarminsider.com/SurePower.
