Makita launches Connector Series blower

The 36V Brushless Blower provides improved balance and reduced weight.

LA MIRADA, Calif. – Makita U.S.A., Inc., has released the 36V Brushless Blower (CBU01Z), a part of the Connector Series of outdoor power equipment.

The 36V Brushless Blower provides improved balance and reduced weight. By relocating the battery connections to an external source, the blower weighs less for operator comfort.

The Makita-built brushless motor delivers up to 622 CFM and 157 MPH to move heavy debris. The blower delivers up to 80% more blowing force than a gas blower (when compared to Makita  model BHX2500CA). The cruise control lever with variable speed trigger adjusts between 0 and 530 CFM, allowing the operator to manage power and run time. A speed lock provides continuous operation.

The 3-stage telescoping nozzle features a downward end point to provide more powerful air flow and reduce operator arm fatigue.

The blower features the exclusive Extreme Protection Technology (XPT). XPT is a protective seal inside the tool and is engineered for improved operation in harsh conditions by channeling water and dust from key internal components. It also is IPX4 weather-resistant construction for durability and long life.

The Connector Series is a line of outdoor power equipment that utilizes an external battery connection, moving batteries from the unit to a battery backpack (sold separately). A cable connects the unit to the battery backpack. This shift in battery weight from the unit to the backpack  provides improved balance and longer run time. Paired with the LXT and LXT X2 Portable Backpack Power Supply (PDC01, sold separately), the operator will gain twice the run time for any LXT X2 Product.
