Kim Lewey joins advisory board

The co-owner of Lewey Landscaping & LawnCare joins the board Of I’m A Great Child Worldwide.

RALEIGH, N.C. – Lewey Landscaping & LawnCare, a Triangle-based, full-service landscaping and lawn care company, has announced that co-owner Kim Lewey has been named to the advisory board of I’m A Great Child WorldwideSM, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children and teens who then change their lives on their own. In her position, Lewey will serve as a mentor on the board, as well as offer guidance for major decisions regarding the nonprofit.

“I’m A Great Child Worldwide does amazing work for children and I am honored to have been asked to join their advisory board,” Lewey said. “This is an outstanding opportunity to help children build confidence and self-esteem to prepare them for success and assist them in overcoming the obstacles they face during their childhood.”

Founded by international trainer and coach Janet Bauer, I’m A Great Child Worldwide has been taught to thousands of vulnerable children in the United States, Kenya, South Africa, Botswana, and recently Haiti. The program empowers youth by enhancing their natural strengths, confidence, courage, and speaking skills.

The nonprofit has also trained hundreds of teachers and staff at other organizations. In the United States, the program has been used in schools, in homeless shelters, centers for victims of domestic violence, and in a center for children impacted by HIV/AIDS. In Africa, the program has been taught in schools in extreme poverty areas, centers for children who were living on the streets, and for kids in informal settlements and rural villages.
