Bill Speelman, 36-year employee of The Toro Co., was honored by the American Society of Irrigation Consultants with the presentation of the Roy Williams Award. The award is the society’s highest honor presented in recognition of substantial and significant contributions to the irrigation industry.

The California Landscape Contractors Association gave Bill Locklin, originator of the Night-scaping 12-volt outdoor lighting system, the 1999 Meridian Award for substantial beautification of the environment. The Meridian Award is the top honor presented to landscape professionals by the Orange County/Long Beach Chapter of the CLCA as part of its 41st annual Beautification Awards.
