BOB-CAT 2011 commercial walk-behind lineup
Among BOB-CAT’s 2011 line of mowers is a dozen walk-behind models. The new mowers include three gear-driven models, six hydrostatic-driven models and three hydro-z control models. Each features a 16-, 18- or 20-hp Kawasaki engine. The Classic Pro gear-driven models come with a cutting deck between 32 and 48 inches, while the Hydro and Hydro Z-Control models feature decks between 36 inches and 54 inches. Cub Cadet 1748 Wide-Area Walk-Behind
The 1748 wide-area walk-behind features a fully welded, one-piece engine platform and mowing deck. Its 7-gauge steel skirt and reinforced solid-steel plates provide extra strength and protection. The 1748 is complete with a 48-inch Command Cut System cutting deck to provide a smooth cut. Exmark Commercial 21 X-Series
The Commerial 21 X-Series employs an optimized, clean-sheet design for improved balance and maneuverability. The commercial-grade machine provides durability and requires less service and maintenance and is easy to use. Its features include a 21-inch cutting deck and a new 5-inch deep cutting deck that provides a signature cut whether bagging or mulching. Its front height adjustments eliminate traditional pivot-style adjusters, and its single-point rear height adjustments allow for quick changes to cutting height. Gravely Pro-Walk series
Gravely’s redesigned series of commercial Pro-Walk mowers offers both gear drive or hydro drive with pro-steer or pistol grip controls. All models offer a fixed/floating deck that provides operator flexibility in mowing styles. The floating deck cuts to the contours of the landscape and is lockable, giving operator’s adaptability. With a 7-gauge steel deck, the Pro-Walks have a deeper, 5.4-inch cutting chamber and extra-wide discharge tunnel to expel clippings faster and farther without clogging. Husqvarna HU800HUV
Husqvarna’s HU800HUV employs a rear wheel drive system, coupled with rear high wheels, which, in tandem, provides maneuverability even on hilly or rough terrain. The model is equipped with a 190-cc Honda engine and an overhead cam that enables it to deliver more consistent power, an even underload and reduced vibration throughout. The HU800HUV has a newly redesigned cutting deck that incorporates computational flow dynamics to optimize the grass lift, which is kept in the air longer to provide a cleaner and consistent cut. John Deere WG and WH series
The new John Deere WG and WH series features six models with gear or hydrostatic transmission. The gear models feature a 7-gauge fabricated deck and a smooth running 5-speed transmission that complement the 16-hp Kawasaki engine. They are also equipped with flat-free front tires. The hydro models include 7-guage fabricated floating decks and easy to operate twin loop handle controls with front and rear index bars. The WH models are equipped with either a 16-hp or 20-hp Kawasaki engine and flat free front tires. Scag Power Equipment Pro-V
The Scag Pro-V features a control system that delivers new levels of productivity and operator comfort, as no squeezing is required to maneuver the mower. The model is available with a 36-, 48- or 52-inch deck and a 16-hp to 23-hp engine. The walk-behind has a floating deck, convenient hand-level deck lift and easy-to-use cutting height adjustment. Snapper Pro SW5
Snapper Pro’s SW5 is available with either a 16-hp Vanguard or 16-hp Kawasaki manual start engine. Both models feature a 32-inch fixed mower deck with adjustable drive axle to control cutting height. Its fabricated steel deck cutting height can be set between 1-inch and 4.5-inches. The SW5’s spindles are made out of cast aluminum. Wright Manufacturing Velke
Wright Manufacturing’s Velke is a gear-driven walk-behind mower equipped with an adjustable axle, five-speed transmission and Warner MagStop clutch. An integrated latch system easily deploys and stores the Velke sulky. The complete system allows for backing in and out of tight places and amking turns quickly. The mower, with pistol grip control, has a 15-hp engine and a choice of 32-, 36- or 48-inch mower deck. It also comes with a 6-gallon fuel tank.
