PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. – BrightView has announced the acquisition of Emerald Landscape Company, a commercial landscaping company located in California’s Bay Area. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Emerald specializes in commercial landscape maintenance, enhancement, tree care, turf management and irrigation services, employing more than 200 team members. It operates branches in the Bay Area markets of Livermore, Hayward, Concord, San Jose, Manteca, and Tracy.
“From the outset, Emerald’s founders believed that the only way to run a business was to be proactive and provide outstanding customer service, and we think their approach will fit in perfectly with BrightView’s culture," Brightview CEO Andrew Masterman said. "Thanks in large part to their approach, they are one of the fastest growing landscape companies in the Bay Area."
“I believe that Emerald shares much in common with BrightView and this transaction provides a strong platform to continue growing our customer base in the Bay Area," said Steve Jacobson, Emerald's president and co-founder. "BrightView and Emerald both have a history of providing high levels of customer service, being an integral part of the communities in which we operate, and generating career opportunities for our team members. My team and I look forward to joining BrightView and we are excited about the continued growth potential of our region."
