Monrovia hires new chief marketing officer

Tristan Simpson will join the company with a background in marketing for consumer packaged goods.

AZUSA, Calif. – Monrovia, grower of ornamental and landscaping plants, has announced the hiring of Tristan Simpson as the company’s new chief marketing officer. She joins the company effective October 2, 2017 and will be based in the company’s Azusa, California headquarters.

Simpson comes to Monrovia with more than 20 years of experience in consumer packaged goods marketing. She’s known as an innovative communicator in the natural and organic food category having led brand strategies for Ready Pac Food, Inc., Frieda’s Inc., Sun Pacific, and others. At Monrovia she will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive marketing strategy as the company continues its campaign of increasing customer awareness and engagement with the brand.

Simpson holds an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles and a BA from the University of California, Irvine.
