SWT Design hires two

Felipe DeNavarez and Derek Don were brought on as landscape designers.

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis landscape architecture firm SWT Design’s Co-Founding Principals Ted Spaid and Jim Wolterman welcome two new landscape designers to the firm, Felipe DeNavarez and Derek Don.
 
SWT Design has continued to experience growth and development in environmental design, working on projects locally, nationally and internationally, and the new employees are a direct result of this growth.
 
“Both Felipe and Derek have extensive backgrounds in landscape architecture and bring fresh ideas to the firm,” said Spaid and Wolterman. “We’re excited to have them as a part of our team as SWT Design expands and takes on new projects."

 
DeNarvaez joins SWT Design full time after completing an internship with the firm during the summer of 2010. DeNarvaez earned a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture with an emphasis in landscape design from Montana State University and a Master of Landscape Architecture from Kansas State University. He is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects. His areas of expertise and experience include technical, graphic and design support to a wide variety of projects, including supporting the firm’s recent participation in the Framing a Modern Masterpiece: The City + The Arch + The River international design competition.
 
Don has more than five years of professional experience in the field of landscape architecture. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Purdue University and is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects. His experience includes both large and small-scale projects, with a strong focus on healthcare campuses, streetscapes, parks and recreation, and urban design. Don’s responsibilities incorporate many aspects of the planning and design phase including; site analysis, master planning, schematic design, construction documentation and graphic renderings.
