A country powerhouse will headline the GIE+EXPO this year, while the rest of the lineup is loaded with rock and pop acts ready to entertain. The GIE+EXPO concerts are sponsored by Dixie Chopper and will take place on the Nissan Commercial Vehicles Stage.
“We’re excited to have Dixie Chopper and Nissan Commercial Vehicles on board again this year as concert sponsors,” said Warren Sellers, show director. “With their support we’ve planned a dynamic lineup of entertainers that will allow attendees and exhibitors alike to continue the networking and camaraderie beyond the tradeshow floor.”
Joe Nichols will take the stage Thursday night at 4th Street Live! in downtown Louisville where attendees will hear the four-time Grammy nominee and AMA Top New Male Vocalist winner perform his six number 1 hits and eight Top 10 singles.
His latest album CRICKETS debuted in the Top 3 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and spawned the two multi-week #1, RIAA gold-certified hits “Yeah” and “Sunny and 75.” Included in Nichols’ six #1 hits and eight Top 10 singles are "The Impossible," "If Nobody Believed In You," "What's A Guy Gotta Do," "Size Matters" and "I'll Wait For You."
Opening for Nichols will be Brooke Eden, a bold country singer who opened for Alan Jackson and Brooks & Dunn while working her way through college to earn a degree in marketing from the University of Florida. Her latest album, titled “Daddy’s Money,” is a brazen account of her rags-to-riches story. Her record label has developed country music superstars like Jason Aldean, Thompson Square and Dustin Lynch.

On Wednesday, The Crashers will be back at GIE+EXPO for a third year by popular demand. Formed in 2008, they have established themselves, both regionally and nationally, as the band to see. They've performed all over the country, leaving crowds wanting more, from the Super Bowl (as the official pre-game band for NBC at Super Bowl XLVI) to rockin' it out as the backing band for national artists like Luke Bryan and Kid Rock.
Closing out the show on Friday night will be Wax Factory. The Louisville-based pop/rock band is comprised of four seasoned musicians whose objective is to deliver an intense live performance that is fresh and energetic. With favorite songs from yesterday and today on their set list, this group performs a diverse selection ranging from Queen and Fleetwood Mac to Madonna and Katy Perry.
Keeping the covers theme going, Kirby’s Dreamland, also a Louisville-based band, will open the show with a variety of covers, but also mixing in some originals. The group has been recognized as a band that is a fun time for all ages.
