According to research conducted for Lawn & Landscape magazine by the independent research firm Research USA, Chicago, Ill., lawn and landscape contractors plan to spend more than $241 million on turf seed, sod and hydroseeding products in 1998, making this the third-largest category in terms of business expenditures.
