Autonomowus Lawn Company has installed five robotic lawnmowers at Genan, a large-scale tire recycling plant in the United States.

The work between Autonomowus Lawn Company and Genan is designed to streamline and enhance the grounds maintenance of the sprawling tire recycling plant located in Houston, Texas. In 2014, the Danish firm opened the facility in Houston, the largest of its kind in the world, capable of processing 100,000 metric tons of tires annually.

By deploying five robotic mowers, Autonomowus Lawn Company solutions will assist Genan in maintaining its extensive lawns while reducing operational costs and promoting environmental sustainability.

"We are excited to work with Genan Inc., a company that shares our dedication to efficiency and innovation," says Jason Scott, CEO of Autonomowus Lawn Company. "Our robotic mowers are an ideal solution for large-scale facilities like Genan Inc. By automating the lawn care process, we are not only helping them save time and resources, but we are also contributing to their sustainability efforts through environmentally friendly technology."

The chosen Husqvarna Automower 550 robotic mowers are equipped with GPS systems and sensors that allow them to navigate the plant's complex grounds. One of the five mowers is completely self-sustained by utilizing renewable solar power as the charging source. These mowers are designed to operate autonomously, allowing the plant's staff to focus on core operations while the mowers handle lawn care with minimal supervision. The new robotic mowers are set to operate year-round, handling a variety of terrain types and weather conditions.

"We are always looking for ways to improve our operations and reduce our environmental impact," says Graeme Jones, operations manager of the Houston plant for Genan. "The installation of these robotic mowers is a fantastic step in the right direction. Not only will it help us maintain our large campus more efficiently, but it also aligns with our sustainability goals."
