Bartlett Tree Experts promotes 4 as division managers

The company has promoted Rob Allen, Jack Ingram, Gary Nedorostek and David Chalker.

Bartlett Tree Experts has promoted four of its employees to division managers.

ROB ALLEN: Allen will oversee the company’s operations in Virginia and Tennessee.

Allen holds a degree in forestry from Virginia Tech and has earned professional credentials as an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist (BCMA), ASCA Registered Consulting Arborist (RCAS) and TCIA Certified Treecare Safety Professional. In 2001, he joined Bartlett Tree Experts as a climber; and in 2003, he was promoted to Arborist Representative, providing tree and shrub care services to clients in the Richmond area.

In 2005, Allen helped establish Bartlett’s office in Fredericksburg, Va. With his proven ability to help develop and grow successful Bartlett operations, he was promoted to assistant division manager in 2013. This summer, Allen was instrumental in the opening of two new Bartlett operations in Knoxville and Chattanooga, Tennessee. In addition to launching and developing new local office operations, he has made a name for himself within Bartlett as a leader in creating training programs and advancing new technology tools for Bartlett’s Arborist Representatives and local office teams.

“The best thing about Bartlett Tree Experts is the people," Allen says. "There is a tremendous amount of Company pride, scientific tree care knowledge and talent across Bartlett, and in the deep local relationships our arborists have in helping our clients to care for their trees.”

JACK INGRAM: Ingram will oversee the company's operations in Central New England.

Born and raised on Cape Cod, Ingram was engaged in arboriculture from a young age, participating in community tree plantings and many other Bartlett activities. Ingram joined Bartlett in 2010 as a field arborist and plant health care specialist. He spent summers working for the company while earning his bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University. In college, he served as the co-captain of Bucknell’s NCAA Division 1 wrestling team.

“With wrestling, there is a foundation of discipline and accountability that I was able to develop for myself by putting in the work and developing good work habits," Ingram says. "As a Bartlett manager, those values have directly influenced my ability to help others grow.”

He was promoted to arborist representative in Beverly Farms in 2014; and in 2015, he was promoted to local manager. Ingram has earned professional credentials as an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist (BCMA), ASCA Registered Consulting Arborist (RCA), Massachusetts Certified Arborist, and TCIA Certified Treecare Safety Professional. Among his many community involvement activities, Ingram has served on the membership committee of the Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce and served as the Arboriculture Advisory Committee Chair of Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School.

GARY NEDOROSTEK: Nedorostek will oversee the company’s operations in Northern New England.

Nedorostek, who holds a baccalaureate degree from the University of Massachusetts, joined Bartlett Tree Experts in 2001 with the acquisition of his business in Simsbury, Connecticut. After serving as an arborist representative and local manager for over a decade, he was promoted in 2013 to assistant division manager of the New England division where he assisted in developing the company’s operations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont and Rhode Island.

Nedorostek will grow the Northern New England operations, which include Hooksett and Wolfeboro, New Hampshire; Mount Desert Island and Portland, Maine; and Manchester and White River Junction, Vermont.

Nedorostek holds the following professional credentials: ISA Board Certified Master Arborist (BCMA), ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ), Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP), Connecticut Licensed Arborist and Massachusetts Certified Arborist. In the future, he shall continue to grow Bartlett’s Northern New England operations through acquisitions and organic growth.

“The best thing about Bartlett is our team members, starting with the last person hired," Nedorostek says. "The support that we provide to each other is way ahead of any other company in the industry; we are truly stronger together. I look forward to working closely with our talented colleagues in Northern New England and across Bartlett to benefit our clients with beautiful, healthy trees and shrubs.”

DAVID CHALKER: Chalker will oversee the Southern New England region, spanning from Cape Cod and the Islands to Rhode Island.

Chalker joined Bartlett Tree Experts in 1998 after working in the nursery industry. For over 25 years, he has held positions as a ground person, plant health care specialist, climber, crew leader, arborist representative and local manager of Bartlett’s Osterville office.

“I am honored with the opportunity and excited to be part of Bartlett’s continued growth and success. Most of my adult life has been with Bartlett," Chalker says. "It’s more family to me than a job. There is a lot of pride being a member of this Company.”

Chalker says Bartlett’s investment in providing a sound strategic plan has bolstered the company’s regional scientific and safety support to the field for the benefit of teammates and clients. He attributes his success and the success of his teammates to new computerized processes that allow Bartlett arborists to exchange tree care planning and plant health diagnostic information with clients and each other in real time.

“The most important thing I have learned over the years is how well Bartlett’s science-first approach to tree and shrub care works to keep trees healthy and beautiful," Chalker says. "It’s nice to be called to a property to identify a problem, fix it, and walk away with the confidence that you are backed by the Bartlett Research Laboratories. Of course, the best part is coming back to see a clients’ cherished tree thriving for years to come.”
