Bartlett Tree Experts has promoted Brian Rhoten to division manager and vice president, overseeing the company’s operations in Eastern Pennsylvania.
Rhoten first joined Bartlett Tree Experts in 1988 and has held positions as a part-time arborist representative, arborist representative, crew leader, PHC specialist and local manager of the Baltimore Office. In 2016, Rhoten broadened his leadership skills when he was promoted to assist in the management of the company’s operations in Maryland, Delaware, and Eastern Pennsylvania.
In promoting Rhoten to his new position, Jim Ingram, president and chief operations officer, credited Rhoten’s work ethic, his focus on safety, and his talents for teaching others. The strategic decision was made last year to divide management of Bartlett’s operations in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Ohio to support opportunities for growth. Eastern Pennsylvania operations include five offices in Pennsylvania, one office in New Jersey, one office in Delaware, and one office in Maryland.
“Brian is one of the most practical and reasonable leaders in our company,” Ingram says.
Since taking on his new role, Bartlett has expanded in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, with the acquisitions of Climb High Tree Service and Houser Plant Health Care. With these two acquisitions, more property owners in Lancaster and the surrounding areas of Lebanon County are benefitting from Bartlett’s scientific tree care services, along with the diagnostic support of the Bartlett Tree Research Laboratories.
“We’re excited to show our clients in Eastern Pennsylvania all of Bartlett’s offerings as a global leader of scientific tree care and safety in our industry," Rhoten says.
