Lawn & Landscape magazine announced Friday that Adam Casselberry, vice president, Corporate Green, Baton Rouge, La., has been awarded a new Stihl HL 100 K Extended Length Hedge Trimmer hedge trimmer from the Germany-based power equipment manufacturer. Casselberry entered Lawn & Landscape's October Online Sweepstakes to win the trimmer.
With one irrigation truck, two chemical trucks, two landscape trucks, four maintenance trucks and more than 40 employees, Corporate Green has spent seven years servicing primarily commercial accounts.
Casselberry, who has been with the company for five years, handles account management and development. He says a new piece of equipment always comes in handy. “As soon as we get it we’ll put it to use,” he says.
Casselberry says he’s used to paying around $400 for a trimmer and that his new prize will certainly come in handy. “We do a lot of trimming work, especially commercial. Our biggest account is probably about 90 acres.” Casselberry's prize, the HL 100 K Extended Length Hedge Trimmer is powered by a Stihl 4-MIX engine, has 42-inch shaft and a cutting head designed to be easily adjusted from 0 to 90 degrees in 10-degree increments without tools.
The new trimmer will not be the only Stihl product in Corporate Green’s arsenal, Casselberry says. “We currently have Stihl brush trimmers and chainsaws and next season we plan on looking into their weed eaters and edgers,” he adds.
Casselberry says that he’s looking forward to the new trimmer so that he can put some older equipment out of its misery. “There’s always at least one piece of equipment that is ready to be retired,” he says.
Casselberry also says that he is looking forward to a seasonal slow down that is long overdue in Louisiana. “It’s the middle of November and probably about 82 degrees outside,” he says.
