Dutch paving company makes U.S. debut

GeoCeramica is now available in the United States, thanks to a partnership with LibertyStone Hardscaping Systems.

After transforming outdoor spaces across Europe, GeoCeramica — a Dutch paving system — is now available in the United States. This product, developed by MBI, the largest manufacturer of unreinforced concrete products in the Netherlands, combines the sleek, modern look of porcelain tile with a durable, concrete drainage layer.

GeoCeramica’s arrival in the U.S. is made possible by a partnership between MBI, LibertyStone Hardscaping Systems, a family-owned producer of concrete products based in Archbald, Pennsylvania, and Benelux a.s., the licensing arm for the production of GeoCeramica in the U.S. The leadership teams of LibertyStone and Benelux a.s. were drawn to MBI’s reputation for innovation and quality, and after extensive collaboration, production of GeoCeramica in the U.S. is now underway.

“The partnership with LibertyStone and Benelux a.s. is a natural fit for us. Our companies share a long-standing commitment to quality, innovation and family values,” says Ben van Dooijeweert, export manager of MBI. “We are excited to collaborate with people who understand our vision and are equally passionate about bringing cutting-edge products like GeoCeramica to the U.S. market.”

GeoCeramica is unique in its 3-in-1 system, which includes a proprietary Stabikorn base, AquaFerm binding paste and a high-quality porcelain surface. This combination solves the long-standing challenge of uniting two different materials — porcelain and concrete — into a single, durable paving solution. The Stabikorn base allows for water drainage and movement, while the AquaFerm paste ensures a permanent bond between the porcelain and concrete base.

"GeoCeramica is unlike anything on the market today," says Dave Lewis, VP of product development at LibertyStone Hardscaping Systems. "This product isn’t just another paver; it represents years of research, testing and installation in the field to create a sustainable, durable, and beautiful solution for outdoor spaces. We are thrilled to bring this European innovation to our American customers."

GeoCeramica is designed to benefit professional contractors, landscape architects and homeowners. The integrated spacer bars allow for easy and precise installation, while the slip-resistant, stain-resistant surface is perfect for patios, walkways, pool decks and rooftops. Limitless design options are available due to technological advancements in the porcelain industry that replicate natural stone textures and colors with incredible accuracy. Additionally, the product’s resistance to efflorescence and its low-maintenance qualities make it ideal for long-term durability.

With the U.S. launch, LibertyStone and Benelux a.s. are seeking both production and distribution partners to expand GeoCeramica nationwide. The company aims to bring this European innovation to as many American homes and businesses as possible.
