FALLBROOK, Calif. – Green industry marketing firm Pen & Petal announced two changes to its staff.
First, Pen & Petal welcomes writer, editor and marketing communications specialist Ellen C. Wells.
“Ellen has worked with both sides of the green industry – commercial and consumer – and understands the intricacies of both,” says Kerstin Ouellet, president of Pen & Petal. “Coupled with her skills as a writer, marketer and graphic designer, Ellen’s work with Pen & Petal will offer our clients a range of expertise and services that thrills me.”
Wells has a master’s degree in horticulture from Cornell University, was previously a field editor for Greenhouse Grower magazine did consumer communications work at the Massachusetts Horticultural Society. She writes a gardening column for a Boston-area newspaper and contributes to the Boston Sunday Globe Magazine, Boston Magazine, People, Places & Plants and Green Profit, among others.
“I’m thrilled to be fully immersed in the green industry,” said Wells. “I’m passionate about all aspects of the field. Writing about and promoting the green industry is what I do best.”
Pen & Petal also announces the departure of Beth Meneghini, who’s been with the organization since 2003. Beth and her husband Paul have been accepted into the Peace Corps and will be serving two years in Swaziland in southern Africa. They are thrilled to be helping the country with HIV/AIDS education programs and business development.
