Irrigation Direct Open for Business

Manufacturer Sells Irrigation Products Direct to Contractors

Irrigation Direct, a manufacturer of high-end irrigation products, announced the launch of their company, which manufacturers products that they will sell directly to contractors via the Internet.

Irrigation Direct's products are known as "category killers" because they combine features of all the products on the market. The "direct to the contractor" business model eliminates the cost of typical supply channels and allows the company to offer savings of up to 50 percent, including shipping.

The company is led by founder Bill Hayes, the former president of Automatic Rain Co., chairman of Horizon Irrigation and founder of ARCO Parts. He has conducted service seminars for more than 7,000 industry professionals. His vision was responsible for the introduction of a full line of landscape and erosion control products to the irrigation industry, after-market replacement solenoids, and sprinkler and controller repair facilities.

Irrigation Direct's patent-pending Direct Module Controller (DMC) base unit features a Daylight Savings feature, a locking mechanism, internal instruction manual holders and a lithium battery access door. The controllers also come standard with a six-station module and can be expanded to 15 stations. This added feature allows contractors to simplify inventory.

"Irrigation Direct delivers upon our vision to transform the irrigation industry and provide a business-to-business approach to contractors with the best irrigation products available," Hayes says. "With Irrigation Direct products, contractors will save as much as 50 percent by buying direct from us--the manufacturer."
