MILFORD, Iowa – Cycle Country Accessories Corp., announced Thursday that the company was selected by John Deere to provide accessories for Deere’s new line of Utility ATVs. John Deere designed and developed the add-ons including bags, plow kits, helmets, and goggles that Cycle Country will manufacture and distribute to authorized John Deere ATV dealers as officially licensed product.
"John Deere is very committed to establishing our new all-terrain vehicles the Buck and Trail Buck,” says Dean Hamke, manager of licensing for John Deere. “Cycle Country has a long history of providing quality products and strong customer satisfaction. We are confident this relationship will be beneficial for both companies.”
Cycle Country's CEO and President, Ron Hickman, agrees. "It is indeed a historic day to have an industry leading company with the reputation and financial depth of John Deere partner with us,” he says. “Cycle Country views this as an opportunity to build on our growing relationship with John Deere.”
John Deere's Buck series of Utility ATVs debuted in March 2004. Bill Klutho, public relations manager for John Deere's consumer and commercial equipment division notes a growing interest. "The product itself is less than a year old, but a lot of people have already shown interest and told us how they would be able to use the Buck and Trail Buck in their companies," he says. "Because these ATVs are smaller but still have great capacity, they're able to fit on landscapers' trailers and provide new options for how contractors manage certain accounts. They'll really be able to find a strong niche in the green industry."
