John Deere recently expanded its zero-turn mower lineup with the introduction of the Z380R Electric ZTrak Zero-Turn Mower.

The Z380R Electric model is equipped with a 54-inch mowing deck, offering a larger cutting capacity and range compared to its predecessor, the Z370R Electric. This new model also features dual batteries that allow longer runtime for larger properties — up to 3.5 acres dependent on conditions.

“With the introduction of the Z380R Electric, we're rounding out our portfolio of residential zero-turn mowers, providing our customers with both gas and electric options to suit their unique needs," says Eric Halfman, the go-to-market manager of riding lawn equipment at John Deere. “The new model builds on the proven performance of the Z370R, updated with a larger deck for enhanced efficiency, making it an ideal choice for homeowners seeking a powerful, low-maintenance solution to keep their lawns looking pristine."

The Z380R Electric Zero-Turn boasts a powertrain complete with two lithium-ion batteries. In addition, the optional MulchControl technology reduces grass clippings. The construction of the Z380R Electric, including large front and side frame rails, enhances machine durability, performance and appearance.

The new mower is designed for decreased maintenance as the need to refill gas and change oil, filters and belts is eliminated. The John Deere Z380R Electric ZTrak Zero-Turn Mower comes with a  two-year/200-hour bumper-to-bumper warranty, a five-year/200-hour battery warranty and an optional 10-year/400-hour PowerGard battery warranty. The optional PowerGard warranty is only available in the U.S.
