NASHVILLE, Tenn. – For Brian Anthony, general manager of Creech Landscape in Nashville, Tenn., weathering the economic storm doesn’t mean sitting inside while the elements erode a solid business foundation. Instead, survival requires forging ahead against uncertainty and continuing growth despite a cloudy horizon.
And, as the winner of the July Lawn & Landscape Online sweepstakes, sponsored by Little Wonder, Anthony can continue that expansion with brand-new equipment – specifically, a Little Wonder Xtra Edger.
After being in business for 27 years, Anthony, a self-described “transplanted Yankee,” currently runs the Nashville office of Creech Landscape, based in Atlanta, Ga. “The home office has done quite well, and has continued to grow,” he said. “We’re now looking at a fourth office in Memphis and eventually I’ll be heading up the Nashville and Memphis locations.”
With three full-time employees, Creech Landscape is currently looking at next season to get ahead of the game, Anthony related. The Xtra Edger helps with that early-season advantage because of its cross-blade system, he said. “It gives you a really nice edge in the spring, and we will be able to move faster with it,” he said.
As expansion continues, Anthony and Creech Landscape look to other areas of the U.S. for future growth, he identified. “We’re looking to expand in many areas,” he said. “Anywhere from Dallas to Kentucky to Knoxville, and possibly more offices in Atlanta.”
