Kichler Lighting, a lighting and ceiling fans manufacturer, has promoted Chris Thomas to the newly created position of manager of landscape training and education.
This move within Kichler Landscape Lighting comes as a strategic response to widespread industry demand.
Having been a part of the Kichler Lighting company for the past three years, serving as territory sales manager for the mid-Atlantic region, Thomas now assumes a role in advancing its educational initiatives. The manager of landscape training and education position is specifically designed to address the industry-wide need for comprehensive training programs for contractors and distributors across the nation.
“At Kichler, we aim to create an educational platform where our contractors and distributors can acquire the essential skills for building successful careers in the landscape space,” says Kichler Lighting Director of Landscape of Sales Scott Pesta. “Chris Thomas has a proven track record of success when he combines his two passions – teaching and lighting. This is an organic fit for him.”
Boasting more than two decades of landscape lighting experience, including time at a regional distributor, Thomas brings skills that encompass sales, customer service, marketing, education, business process improvement and management. In his new capacity, responsibilities include the development of training content, in-field training across the U.S., and close collaboration with regional managers.
“We're a ‘bring people together’ company, and there is no better way to bring people together than through experiential learning opportunities,” Pesta says. “Chris's enthusiasm for providing exceptional learning tools for our expansive community of contractors and distributors is evident.”
