DALLAS – Lambert’s, a premier premiere garden design and landscape architectural contracting and maintenance services firm in the Dallas area, is under new ownership. The company, which offers landscape architecture/garden design, landscape installation and garden management as well as tree care and lawn maintenance through its affiliated family of companies, was established in 1935 by Joe and Henry Lambert.

Walter Dahlberg, Paul Fields and Daniel Morgan, three long-time employees of Lambert’s, have acquired the firm from the Wetsel family, formerly of Dallas. The terms of purchase of the privately owned company were undisclosed. The company headquarters will remain at 6333 Denton Drive in Dallas, near Love Field.
Under the new ownership, Dahlberg will serve as chairman, Fields has been named president and Morgan is the new chief executive officer. Together, these individuals have more than 50 years of tenure in leadership and management at Lambert’s and over 85 years of experience in landscape architecture, construction, garden management and tree care services.
Each of the new owners will continue to focus in his specific area of expertise, according to Dahlberg, who has been associated with Lambert’s for 17 years, serving as past president and senior landscape architect. As chairman, he will oversee and manage the “philosophical and market changes” associated with the projected growth and direction of the firm, as well as continue to lead one of the firm’s Garden Design Studios.
A 15-year veteran of Lambert’s, Fields previously served as vice president and director of design. As president, he will continue to spearhead and ensure Lambert’s Dallas-based, award-winning garden development performance and lead the company into greater national and international design recognition.
Morgan, formerly vice president and director of garden services, is a 21-year employee of Lambert’s. His operational and production experience will continue to guide the firm in the “uncompromising performance and high-quality client service” for which the company is renowned, Dahlberg says.
“The new ownership structure is reflective of the growth and evolution of Lambert’s, which is celebrating its 85th year of service to Dallas and surrounding communities,” Dahlberg says.
“Our responsibility, as both owners and managers, is to steward and build upon the Lambert’s legacy,” Morgan adds. “The firm’s reputation for and commitment to quality results will be ensured by matching the skills of the company’s talented staff with uniquely challenging projects.”
“With the implementation of a philosophy of controlled growth and the new management team in place, we look forward to leading Lambert’s to its hundred-year anniversary and beyond,” Fields says.
