Southern Botanical receives multiple TNLA honors

The company took home two Gold and two Bronze awards.

DALLAS Southern Botanical,, for the fifth year in a row, has been awarded Gold Awards from the 2012-2013 TNLA Texas Excellence in Landscaping Awards. This year’s winning entries included Gold Awards for the Texas Instruments Courtyard in the Commercial Landscape Installation more than $100,000 category, and for a breathtaking North Texas residence in Residential Maintenance. In addition, Bronze Awards were given for Residential Installation more than $100,000 and for the LEED certified UNT Business Leadership Center in the Commercial Maintenance category.

The Texas Excellence in Landscaping Awards program recognizes excellence in installation, design, design/build, maintenance and special projects. Award recipients will be honored at the TNLA Awards Dinner in Dallas during the August EXPO. Entries were judged on the basis of difficulty, craftsmanship, and attention to detail, in addition to specific criteria listed in each category. Each of the entry categories was evaluated independently; the type, size, and cost of the project were not criteria for judging.

“Each year it is an honor to have worked installing and maintaining these beautiful gardens,” said Jason Craven, president/CEO of Southern Botanical. “Having our team receive peer recognition for their artistry, attention to detail and hard work makes it that much more rewarding!” Craven credits Southern Botanical’s successes to highly trained, certified and dedicated teams, and the company’s philosophy of anticipatory service. “Flawless execution is our goal, and our team works very hard to anticipate each client’s needs and then deliver as close to perfection as we can.”

This year’s award-winning projects displayed the broad spectrum of Southern Botanical’s expertise. From the spectacular combination of formal and casual gardens of the residential Gold winner to the smartly crafted space and water features of a commercial courtyard, both projects had unique demands, but yielded extraordinary results.
