Turfco unveils two new products

The Torrent 2 debris blower and TriWave 45 Tow-Behind Overseeder are both available for landscapers.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Turfco has introduced both its Torrent 2 debris blower and its TriWave 45 Tow-Behind Overseeder.

The debris blower is outfitted with technologies that deliver control over air speed, air direction, noise management and fuel consumption.

With the new MagnaPoint Technology, adjustable magnetic stops take the guesswork out of debris cleanup, allowing operators to get the most productive blower angle every single time. This new technology increases operator efficiency and productivity, while saving on fuel consumption and noise. This new option will be available in May.

“Over the years, superintendents have been asking for advanced technologies, like MagnaPoint, which allow them to clean up debris more quickly and efficiently. The Torrent 2 builds off the success of Turfco’s previous debris blowers with new features that make it more productive than its competitors, for an even higher level of course polish and playability,” said Scott Kinkead, Turfco vice president.

The Torrent 2 features air volume and air velocity that can handle all types of debris, making it ideal for year-round cleanup and course maintenance. The Torrent 2’s new design features improved wiring that eliminates battery drain if the key is left on. The Torrent 2 also features a fast 360-degree nozzle rotation. A wireless controller allows operators to shut down at the touch of a button, idle down when needed and easily increase or decrease blowing force.

Turfco is offering a new two-year warranty on the Torrent 2.

Additional features of the Torrent 2 include:
• New nozzle angle indicator enables operators to quickly pick the right angle
• Closed-off deck to reduce debris pickup and decrease wear on the turbine
• Adjustable height for proper alignment for a variety of vehicles
• Heavy-duty frame, rugged tongue and one-piece nozzle made from impact-resistant polyethylene

Turfco’s TriWave 45 Tow-Behind Overseeder quickly attaches to most turf vehicles, making it convenient and efficient to use. The TriWave 45 has a 50 percent higher capacity in the hopper so it can run longer and cover more ground in one job. New depth adjusters allow operators to quickly adjust to different turf conditions and seed varieties without any additional tools. The TriWave 45 can overseed and spotseed a variety of turf areas, including greens, fairways, roughs, tee boxes and driving ranges.

The new design of the TriWave 45 eliminates seed waste by closing and shutting off the seed box as soon as the operator finishes a pass. Floating heads follow ground contours and curving turns, so superintendents won’t miss low spots or destroy high spots or unmarked sprinkler heads. With WaveBlade technology, the counter-rotating blades on the TriWave 45 create clean, square slits for optimal germination, with decreased turf disruption.

The TriWave 45 Tow-Behind Overseeder is covered by Turfco’s two-year warranty.
