Kent, Ohio – The Davey Tree Expert Company announced the promotion of Dave Bargerstock and Nathan Baker. Bargerstock will serve as market manager of the residential/commercial Western Great Lakes region and Baker will now serve as district manager of the Memphis, Tennessee, residential/commercial office of Jones Bros. Tree and Landscape, a Davey Company.
Bargerstock joined Davey in 1990 working as a landscaper in Davey’s South Detroit residential/commercial (R/C) office. Shortly after joining, he transferred to the North Detroit R/C office and was promoted to sales arborist in 2001. He was later named assistant district manager in 2004 and he was promoted to district manager of Davey’s Northeast Detroit R/C office in 2006. Most recently, he was district manager of Davey’s South Detroit R/C office.
“Dave has nearly 30 years of experience within our company, the industry and the Great Lakes region,” said Jim Houston, vice president and general manager of Davey’s eastern residential/commercial operations. “He has risen to the occasion with each new position he’s taken on, and I know his leadership and seasoned expertise in this new role will serve our clients well.”
Bargerstock is an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist, and he is a member of the local ISA Chapter in Michigan and the Michigan Green Industry Association. He is a graduate of the Davey Institute of Tree Science’s the company’s flagship training program.
Baker started with Davey Tree in 2007 as an intern at the company’s Dulles, Virginia, office. After graduating in 2011, he joined Davey’s Memphis office as an accelerated sales trainee and was promoted to tree care foreman later that year. Most recently, he served as assistant district manager for the Jones Bros. office.
“Nathan’s breadth of experience paired with his technical knowledge and familiarity with the area will serve the clients of our Memphis office well,” said Keith Francies, southeast operations manager of residential/commercial services.
Baker is an ISA Certified Arborist; a Tennessee Certified Pesticide Applicator; a 2012 graduate of the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences, Davey’s flagship training program; a Tree Care Industry Association Certified Tree Care Safety Professional; and is Tree Risk Assessment Qualified through ISA.
