MAHWAH, N.J. – Building upon its Yard Card private label credit program for the outdoor power equipment market, TD Retail Card Services has introduced The Yard Financing Program, an expanded suite of products offering financing solutions for lawn and garden dealers throughout North America.
The Yard Financing Program offers multiple options designed to meet the needs of dealers’ consumer and commercial customers:
Yard Card and Yard Card Plus - A revolving charge credit card for consumer and commercial customers, respectively, which can be used for new and used equipment, parts and service at participating lawn and garden dealers. Customers can choose from a variety of promotional financing options, including no-interest and low-APR programs.
Yard Installment Loan and Yard Installment Loan Plus - A closed-end loan product for high-ticket purchases of new and used equipment for consumer and commercial customers, respectively. As with the Yard Card, dealers can take advantage of special rates offered through manufacturer-sponsored programs, with terms of up to 72 months at APRs ranging from 0 percent to 9.9 percent.
All dealers currently participating in the Yard Card program will now be part of The Yard Financing Program and thus be able to offer both of the new installment loan products. The Yard Card is currently accepted in more than 9,000 dealerships throughout North America in partnership with such major manufacturers as Simplicity, Ferris, Snapper, Snapper Pro, Ariens, Gravely, Scag Power Equipment, Hustler, and EZ-GO.
“The Yard Financing Program takes our successful Yard Card to the next level by adding an installment loan component specifically designed for those customers who don’t want to carry another credit card but still want the flexibility of affordable financing to make that high-ticket purchase,” explained Marc Sczesnak, president of TD Retail Card Services. “It’s another effective weapon in the OPE dealer’s marketing arsenal.”
He added that the Yard Installment Loan programs employ the same automated system that’s used to process the Yard Card’s instant credit applications. “Unlike some other programs on the market, dealers are not required to fax in a manually prepared application and then wait for a faxed response,” Sczesnak said. “Our simple, automated process allows credit decisions to be rendered within seconds.”
