SAN DIEGO – LandCare held their fourth annual leadership conference in San Diego. One hundred leaders from across the country gathered at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay in San Diego for the three-day networking and educational event.
“Gathering together as a team is incredibly valuable in reaffirming our commitment to building strong teams and providing excellent customer service,” said Mike Bogan, CEO of LandCare. “We’ve made so much progress in recent years, and being able to knowledge-share and build off our successes will continue to make us stronger. There’s also an element of comradery – it’s always a treat to see familiar faces and catch up with them on a personal level. Additionally, it serves as a great opportunity to immerse new team members into the culture of LandCare.”
The first day included an opening session with a business review, a branch manager panel discussion, and a welcome beach party at Mission Bay Park. The branch manager panel discussions focused on team member engagement, customer service, new sales and improving financial performance.
On Thursday, LandCare’s executives, trainers and guests led breakout sessions covering managerial topics with an emphasis on companywide goals. “It’s effective when upper management consistently reinforces the concept of execution,” said David Williams, guest speaker for Employee Development. “It speaks to their intense focus on developing LandCare managers into successful leaders.”
Afterward, the leaders met with industry partners to learn about new and existing equipment and service lines and build deeper relationships at the vendor showcase. The evening concluded with a reception and dinner at the Birch Aquarium in La Jolla.
