KENT, Ohio – The Davey Tree Expert Company has announced the promotion of Scott Carlin to vice president of asset management services for Davey Resource Group.
Davey Resource Group, a division of Davey Tree, provides a full range of natural resource and utility consulting services to commercial, residential, municipal and governmental markets.
Twelve years ago, Carlin began as a project developer for Davey Resource Group. He quickly advanced to business developer and market manager before shifting into operations. Before his recent promotion, Carlin was the division manager of asset management services. Davey Resource Group uses technology to manage critical utility assets, streamline complicated processes and provide solutions to clients’ challenges.
“Scott’s been at Davey Resource Group for over a decade. During that time, he’s continually helped us develop new services, such as turn-key joint use audits and reliability solutions,” said Brent Repenning, vice president and general manager of Davey Resource Group.
“Scott’s understanding of our clients’ needs, his passion for creating solutions and his dedication to our team is unmatched. In his new role, I’m excited to see how he uses his industry expertise and experience to grow our services and business,” added Repenning.
Presently, Carlin is a member of the Akron Children’s Hospital Medina County Steering Committee and a board member of the Akron Children’s Hospital Emerging Leaders Board. Previously, Carlin was the chairman of the Heartland Joint Use Consortium. He is also an active member of the Southeast Electrical Exchange and the Edison Electric Institute.
Additionally, Carlin is serving a three-year term on Davey’s President Council. There, he helps brainstorm and research new ideas related to the company’s operations.
Carlin earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Toledo.
