ESSEX, Mass. – Mayer Tree Service brought the first SENNEBOGEN 718 to the landscape industry in North America.
Dan Mayer, president of Mayer Tree Service, saw the machine at a job site in Switzerland and felt it would fit the needs of his Boston area tree company.
“I saw what the machine did over there for a tree company of similar size to our company here in the U.S.,” says Mayer. “and that’s what made me pull the trigger.”
The wheeled SENNEBOGEN 718 is equipped with a 161 hp diesel engine and features a 43 foot reach including a telescoping stick. The 8.8 foot elevated maXcab adds increased operator visibility.
The 48,000 lb machine offers low ground pressure for use on sensitive land.
“This 718 has enabled me to grow without having to add any extra people, which is really huge for us, because in this industry, good people are hard to find,” he says. “We have more equipment than people, which I think is a good model.”
