Altoz

The TRX, a tracked zero-turn mower provides patent-pending technology for commercial use on sloped, wet and rough terrain. Equipped with rear-mounted tracks and torsional suspension system, the TRX allows contractors utility companies and municipalities to maintain places they simply can’t effectively or safely cut with a traditional zero-turn mower.

TorqFlex front suspension and rear torsional track suspension provide a smooth ride by bridging uneven terrain and reducing operator fatigue. Additionally, TRX’s commercial-grade track and flat-free front tires eliminate potential tire damage caused by sharp rocks, glass or debris commonly encountered in vacant lots, roadside ditches and spaces bordering high traffic areas.

The TRX will include the option of 61-inch or 66-inch finish cut or rough cut mower decks, Kohler Command Pro EFI 33 hp or Vanguard EFI 37 hp engines. The TRX will ship to Altoz dealers early Spring of 2017.

Ditch Witch

The Ditch Witch SK1050 mini skid-steer improves versatility and productivity by directing more hydraulic power to the attachment. A 37-hp (27.6 kW) Tier 4 Yanmar diesel engine provides 33 percent more power for all machine functions than competitive units, allowing operators to tackle any variety of landscape, hardscape and irrigation tasks. And, a robust, construction-grade design is built for heavy-duty operation, improving machine longevity and ROI.

Designed for small-scale landscape and irrigation jobs, the Ditch Witch SK600 mini skid-steer has a narrow frame for better maneuverability in tight, compact spaces. Powered by a 24.8-hp (18.5 kW) Kubota diesel engine, the small, yet mighty machine delivers more power to the attachment over other models in its class for enhanced job-site productivity and added versatility.

The CX-Series trenchers are equipped with the new patent pending CX Track system. The design includes a shorter left track, and longer right track, allowing better traction and a shorter overall length for superior maneuverability in tight spaces. The C-Series trenchers feature an exclusive, offset rear-tire design that delivers balanced traction and stability for increased production.

The six models – including the C12, C14, C16, C16X, C24X and the C30X trenchers – dig at depths between 24 inches and 48 inches. This new lineup utilizes the Ditch Witch 35K digging system or the new OptiCut digging system. The digging system complements contractor and rental company equipment with maintenance-free teeth and 19,000 lbs of tensile strength.

GT AirInject

The Air2HP portable aerifier tool eases compaction, increases drainage and aerifies. The Air2HP may be used to quickly and easily spot-treat lawns and to increase drainage, aerify and ease compaction on lawns, in flowerbeds, around tree roots, and in sand bunkers. The Air2HP may also be used on golf courses and sports fields. The Air2HP is introduced as a cost-effective counterpart to the company’s aerification machine, the Air2G2.

The Air2HP is a handheld device that uses a single probe to inject air beneath the surface of the turf. It fractures compacted soil as far as 40 inches beneath the surface, allows root systems access to air and improves drainage. The Air2HP does not disrupt the surface of the turf, meaning that treated areas are ready for use immediately after aerification. The Air2HP requires an external air compressor, (135psi/1 hp/3 gal/2.4 scfm at 90psi minimum) or may be used in conjunction with the Air2G2.

iQ Power Tools

The iQ360x is the first 14-inch masonry power saw with fully integrated dust collection on a single source. Equipped with a 1.75 hp motor, the iQ360x has been tested to capture 99.5 percent of dust, giving a contractor the ability to cut indoors and out.

The OSHA-compliant unit cuts stone, brick, pavers and tiles up to 4.5 inches high and 12 inches long, and is compact and light-weight for easy transport.

The unit’s 92 CFM high output vacuum sucks the dusk through the retractable blade guard. Using the iQ QUICK-SPIN filtration system, the dust is captured in the cartridge filter and then self-contained in the lower chamber for easy disposal and recycling. The dust containment has a capacity of 50 pounds.

Koch Turf & Ornamental

Koch wants to educate LCOs about fertilizers that contain low amounts of nitrogen may contain higher amounts of filler. These products are often cheaper, but their content can have lower nutritional value and require a higher spread rate. So Koch is working with university researchers across the country to collect data on the nitrogen use efficiency of Koch products and urea. When measuring plots that solely used urea, only 44 percent of the amount of applied nitrogen was found in the turfgrass leaf blade over 10 years of research. When measuring plots using Koch’s enhance efficiency fertilizers, on average, 26 percent more nitrogen was recovered in the turfgrass leaf blade.

Oregon

The new Kinetic Log Splitter eliminates hydraulics by using two, precision-balanced 70-pound flywheels spinning at 325 RPMs to create and store kinetic energy. A pinion gear system applies that stored energy from the flywheels and drives the log through the wedge in roughly 2-3 seconds with minimal to no kickback. Traditional hydraulic log splitters can take 13 seconds or more to split the same log.

The Kinetic Log Splitter also offers other benefits to the professional operator:

  • Versatility & Portability: the splitter can be easily moved around the worksite with welded table-mounted handles. It can also be towed on the highway with its 2-inch ball coupler and safety chains, while the stow-away retractable tongue makes loading and unloading easy.
  • Heavy-Duty Work Table: the work surface is smooth and aligned with the beam, which means fewer snags when bringing a log back for re-splitting. The splitter’s wide slots reduce build-up that can jam the push plate assembly in other splitters. The 32-inch wide work table allows easy access to rounds and re-splits from either side.
  • Reduced Fatigue: the handle design on the Kinetic Log Splitter is designed to eliminate kickback by using torsion springs that absorb energy when a stall occurs. Operator fatigue is reduced due to unnecessary motion and operators can work from either side of the machine with convenient two-handed operation.

Powered by a Kohler SH265 engine, the splitter features a 6-inch wedge and the entire machine sits on 4x8-inch road towable tires rated at 45 mph.

SnowEx

The Scrape Maxx is an exclusive accessory kit for snowplows in the existing SnowEx product lineup. Scrape Maxx gives SnowEx plows the ability to apply active downward force to bust through hard packed snow, back drag more effectively and maximize scraping performance down to the pavement.

All SnowEx plows (with the exception of UTV plows) are already built with this ability, but Scrape Maxx harnesses the power to deliver the right amount of force. This new accessory is particularly advantageous for users of SnowEx Light-Truck and Regular-Duty plows.

By increasing down-force, Scrape Maxx effectively allows a light-duty plow to deliver commercial-grade performance. The technology improves both back dragging and overall clearing capabilities without needing to upgrade to a larger vehicle or heavier plow.

When activated on heavier plows, Scrape Maxx provides additional force to keep the blade against the surface. This is designed to help deliver a cleaner scrape when plowing over uneven terrain, and to make the plow an even more effective weapon on back-dragging jobs.
