Turf Republic will have the pleasure to speak at the OTF Show in Columbus, Oh. this year. They will be presenting “Apps to Add to Your Tool Belt” to the Sports Turf, Lawncare and Golf Groups. The presentations will feature mobile applications ranging from augmented reality, note taking, GPS and data collection. They will also touch on mobile devices and protective cases.
Lawncare Session:
iMovie- This app can be very useful to record and edit movies to show customers various services your company offers. Post the movies to your company website or blog.
Measure Map- Quickly and easily measure customer’s lawns or specific areas with accuracy using GPS.
Google Drive- Use the power of Google apps to create spreadsheets, documents, or slide presentations. The forms creation tool works great for creating customer surveys.
Sunseeker- Sunseeker uses augmented reality to show sun and shade patterns over the course of the calendar year.
In addition to presenting useful apps we will talk about mobile devices and cases to protect those devices. The Lifeproof (
) case protects your devices water, dirt, shock, and snow. It is available for iOS and some Samsung devices. Otterbox (
) offers up to eight different versions of their cases for many devices. They have cases for the minimalist minded all the way up to a case for those individuals that are truly abusive to their precious device. Rokform (
) offers a series of protective mountable cases. They have cases for iOS and Samsung devices. Rokform's cases have mounts for bicycles, motorcycles and magnetic mounts that work on tool boxes, cars or utility carts.
The company will also touch on vehicle mounts. Ram Mounts (www.rammount.com) makes very secure and lockable mounts for everything from airplanes to golf carts.
Turf Republic will also have a presence on the trade show floor. The purpose of their booth will be to inform attendants of what Turf Republic is all about. The company’s online community is a collection of sites dedicated to the enhancement and growth of turf professionals and enthusiasts through technology, science and outreach. They will be demonstrating the apps that are mentioned in the show sessions. There will be devices and cases on hand for attendants to test drive. They will also be showing GoPro video footage and mounts with recordings from various superintendents. Turf Republic’s own Adam Garr will be on hand to show off his videos and GoPro mounts.
The highlight of the booth is probably the DJI Phantom drone Turf Force One. The drone will take flight on the trade show floor and the demonstration will show how easy it is to fly and take high quality video using the drone. They talk about ways to use drone video to show off your property.
