TUALATIN, Ore. - Shindaiwa has launched a new line of gearbox attachments for its 230/231 product series. Owners of Shindaiwa 230/231 models can now increase the versatility of their equipment by using these attachments. For instance, users of a T230 grass trimmer can change it to either a pole pruner or an articulated hedge trimmer.
The new hedge trimmer and pole pruner accessories attach with just a few tools to any 230/231 Shindaiwa power unit including grass trimmers, PowerBroom™ and articulating hedge trimmers. The attachments come with all necessary tools and accessories required to convert the lines of hand-held power tools into more versatile units.
For a pole pruner, the gearcase attachment includes an interlock throttle assembly and bar, chain in lengths of either 8 inches, 10 inches or 12 inches and an adjustable automatic oilier. This unit allows for pruning of tree limbs while standing firmly on the ground.
For an articulated hedge trimmer, the gearcase attachment includes an interlock throttle assembly, and a 22.3-inch, double-sided reciprocating blade. The blade is adjustable through 150 degrees for trimming and sculpting tall bushes and hedges.
