Ohio State University researchers to discuss turfgrass science

Attendees have the opportunity to earn credits for pesticide applicators license re-certification.

ZANESVILLE, Ohio - The Ohio Turfgrass Foundation and the Ohio State University Turfgrass Team are joining forces to present a regional seminar July 20 at the NCR Country Club in Dayton.

The OSU Turfgrass Science Team and industry professionals will present valuable information free for Ohio Turfgrass Foundation members and $25 for non-members. Attendees have the opportunity to earn category 8, category 5 and category 6A ODA pesticide applicators license re-certification credits and .40 GCSAA points. The Lawn and Grounds segment begins at 8 a.m. with registration and a complimentary buffet breakfast. The day’s topics include broadleaf weed control, using systemic insecticides on trees and shrubs, tree and shrub insects you should know about and postemergence annual grassy weed control.

The seminar concludes with a question-and-answer session at 11:50 a.m.
