Sandro Pagliarulo, the managing director of Canada and Europe Operations for OTR Engineered Solutions, is retiring from the company effective October 10.
During retirement, he will maintain involvement with OTR, serving as a part-time consultant.
“Sandro played a major role in OTR’s global growth, helping us become the company we are today,” says Tom Rizzi, president and CEO. “He is a long-time member of the OTR family and his retirement is well deserved. Although we’re sad to see him leave, we’re thrilled that he’ll continue consulting with us.”
Pagliarulo began his career as a mechanical engineer for Global Wheel, a South African wheel manufacturer. Eventually, he was promoted to the roles of production manager and then sales manager. As sales manager, he negotiated a joint venture between Global Wheel and OTR, and he became general manager of the new division.
In 2003 Pagliarulo became a partner with OTR when he and Fred Taylor, OTR’s founder, purchased Global Wheel. From there, Pagliarulo played an instrumental role in opening OTR’s China facility, as well as purchasing operations in Sri Lanka and Canada, which were consolidated under OTR in 2017.
“Today, OTR has a world-class management structure that sets us apart from all others in the off-road sector,” Rizzi says. “We thank Sandro for helping us achieve this competitive advantage.”
