Rainbow Companies adds Bruce Wilson to board

Wilson has more than four decades of executive experience in the landscape industry.

Tom Prosser, Rainbow Companies’ founder and current CEO, has appointed Bruce K. Wilson to the firm’s board of directors.

Wilson has more than four decades of executive experience in the landscape industry.

“Joining Rainbow’s board and its mission to develop new ways to tackle plant health and pest infestations is a full-circle moment. I got my first job in this industry during college culling infested Dutch elm trees,” says Wilson, who graduated from Cornell with a bachelor's degree in horticulture.

“The opportunity to network with scientists in all aspects of research and ecology, at a time when our industry is seeking new responses to environmental problems, is a chance to innovate and lead on the issues," he adds. "I’m honored to serve on Rainbow’s board and am looking forward to learning more about breakthroughs that are changing plant and tree health care for landscape contractors."

Wilson received the National Association of Landscape Professionals Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020. He served as president of ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance and co-owner of Conserve LandCare in Thousand Palms, California, which he sold to Sperber Companies in 2019. He founded green industry consulting firm Bruce Wilson & Company, led today by Robert Clinkenbeard under the Wilson360 brand.

“We are delighted to welcome Bruce to our Board of Directors,” Prosser says. “We are fortunate to attract such top talent, especially during a time when the whole world is looking for better landscape solutions, sustainability, and resiliency.”
