SiteRecon, an organization that has been helping landscapers save time by automating takeoffs, has recently launched a new mobile app - Plato. It allows users to document site conditions on the maps.
Plato is available for both Android and iOS devices. The app enables users to:
- Document: The users can create notes about site conditions, enhancement opportunities, or service issues and tag them to specific locations on the map. They can also make them more insightful by adding images and videos.
- Collaborate: The app allows users to tag their teammates in the notes and communicate seamlessly on the maps.
Report: The notes that have been created on the maps can be exported in pdf format, showcasing the service history of a property that is not only highly detailed but is also organized spatially.
Additionally, each benefit further narrows down to a separate set of advantages for each stakeholder group. Read more about it here.
The app has several use cases for different roles in a typical landscaping company, including owners, branch managers, business developers, estimators, account managers, operations/production managers, as well as the crew.
“I think the app completely changes the way account managers log what they see on site, what they discuss with customers, and how they communicate the service issues to the crews. It gives a very powerful option to companies to preserve service history - even when the account managers change. Businesses have digitized the paperwork in their offices through software; now it’s time to digitize what they do on sites using maps,” said Utkarsh Sharma, founder and CEO, SiteRecon Inc.
