In Southern Nevada, water conservation is a top priority. That’s why the Southern Nevada Water Authority offers training programs for landscapers in Spanish, ensuring the people who do this work in our community have the knowledge they need.
The Water Smart Landscaper class covers an array of topics in Spanish – from irrigation techniques to proper tree care when converting a landscape from grass to a desert-friendly design.
“It is so important because the landscaping industry has a lot of Spanish-speaking people, so it’s more beneficial for them to learn these topics in Spanish,” said SNWA Public Outreach Coordinator Adriana Picazo.
