Sperber Landscape Companies has acquired Cambridge Landscape Co., a family-owned landscape management company based in Boston, Massachusetts. With this acquisition, Sperber strengthens its position in the Boston market, expanding its presence and enhancing its capabilities in the Northeast region.
Founded in 1979 by Jim Kelley, Cambridge Landscape has built a legacy, delivering comprehensive landscape management, design, construction and tree care services.
“The addition of Cambridge Landscape is a tremendous step forward for Sperber as we continue to grow in key markets across the country. Their commitment to quality and strong client relationships mirrors our own values, making this an ideal partnership,” says Sperber CEO Jeff Berg. “We are excited to work with the Cambridge Landscape team to continue delivering exceptional service to the Boston area.”
Under Kelley’s leadership, Cambridge Landscape has earned a reputation for quality and reliability, serving a diverse portfolio of high-profile commercial, industrial, educational, medical, municipal and multifamily properties across the region. Kelley will continue to lead Cambridge Landscape.
“For over 40 years, I’ve been dedicated to building Cambridge Landscape into what it is today,” Kelley says. “It was incredibly important to me to find a partner who would not only honor our legacy but also make sure our employees and clients are in the best hands moving forward. I’m confident that Sperber is that partner.”
“I’ve admired Cambridge Landscape for decades. Their commitment to quality and their ability to serve high-end clientele have always stood out to me. I’m excited to increase our Boston service density with such a strong and well-respected team,” says Richard Sperber, executive chairman of Sperber Landscape Companies.
Cambridge Landscape’s staff of nearly 100 employees will continue to serve their client base, with the added resources and support of Sperber’s national network.
CCG Advisors served as the exclusive investment banking firm to Cambridge Landscape in the sale and with this acquisition.
