Talbert Manufacturing completes a customized version of its 60CC-RC trailer, offering enhanced weight distribution options and a reinforced deck for greater versatility to meet load requirements in a variety of states. The fixed four-axle close-couple trailer, designed for Bill Miller Equipment Sales Inc., incorporates an option to add a fifth axle for improved weight distribution to meet load restrictions in various states throughout the Northeast.
“Trailers are often an afterthought, but Bill Miller Equipment recognizes that purchasing a trailer that is custom engineered to meet ever-changing weight and height requirements is an investment that will put them ahead in the long run,” says Troy Geisler, vice president of sales and marketing for Talbert. “As customers diversify their operations to accommodate changes in the industry and equipment designs, they require more flexibility from their trailers. For 85 years, Talbert has been at the forefront of heavy-haul innovations, building trailers to meet the specific requirements of individual customers.”
The custom-built trailer features a ratchet gooseneck design and a 28-foot deck length (27-foot, 6-inch clear deck length) with a 114-inch swing radius, and a 24-inch flip-up and removable gooseneck extension for a 138-inch swing radius. The deck incorporates a 9-foot, 6-inch-wide raised center deck with capabilities for an additional 4-foot reinforced beam deck and 6-foot raised center deck inserts. With a 60-ton capacity of just 13 feet and with four axles close-coupled, the 60CC-RC ensures the safe transport of a concentrated load. The 60CC-RC comes complete with Talbert’s standard T-1, 100,000-psi minimum yield steel and Valspar R-Cure 800 paint with clearcoat for maximum durability and longevity.
"We’ve been buying Talbert trailers for more than 30 years now,” says Nathan Miller, transportation manager at Bill Miller Equipment Sales. “Their dedication to quality and ability to manufacture a trailer tailored to the customers’ needs makes them the premier choice for a growing and evolving business.”
