ValleyCrest Acquires Florida-Based Landscape Company

ValleyCrest Cos. acquired Concepts in Greenery, a landscape services company based in Stuart, Fla.

Founded in 1993 by Dan Steinberg who manages the company with partner and co-owner John Rose, Concepts in Greenery has achieved steady growth and market presence, providing landscape maintenance and installation services to a large and loyal customer base along the Southeastern coast of Florida.

This is one of several recent acquisitions in the Southeast for ValleyCrest, who ranked No. 2 in Lawn & Landscape's 2007 list of the top 100 revenue-earning green industry companies. The landscape firm also purchased Atlanta, Ga.-based Scapes in December and Second Nature of Hilton Head, S.C., in February.

Zino also announced that “we are very pleased that John Rose will be continuing with the company as branch manager of the maintenance operation reporting to Ray Keenan, regional manager, and that Dan Steinberg will also stay on with the company spearheading sales of landscape installation services reporting to William Leathers, SVP, ValleyCrest Landscape Development.”

The addition of Concepts in Greenery further supports the company’s continuing growth in Florida, a market where ValleyCrest has been the largest landscape service provider since 1989. This acquisition follows other activity completed by ValleyCrest, including the recent and successful integration of Tropics North Landscaping.
