DALLAS- Weathermatic introduced the SLRC, a wireless, handheld remote for SmartLine controllers that offers the benefits of SmartLine wireless irrigation network technology, including plug-and-play capabilities.
The SLRC works with SmartLine controller models SL800, SL1600 and SL4800 and utilizes the same “communications hub” as other components in the SmartLine system, such as the SLW15 weather sensor.
When a SmartLine wireless network communications hub is already in place, the SLRC can immediately interface with the controller, saving the expense of installing a separate receiver.
The SLRC operates within a 1,000-foot line-of-sight, accesses up to 48 stations instantly, and offers a range of benefits to the contractor:
• The SLRC saves time and expense during irrigation installations, routine maintenance or winterization because it cuts down on labor costs and job site time.
of the sophistication of the SmartLine® communications hub, SmartLine® controllers recognize both the homeowner’s SLRC access code and the contractor’s separate access code.
• The SLRC includes an exclusive valve-locator feature that helps pinpoint buried valves. By choosing “locator mode,” contractors can hear the “audible chatter” of any underground valve in the system.
• The SLRC has real-time communication with SmartLine® controllers to confirm commands and zone counts.
• The SLRC offers exceptional coding capabilities. If a contractor plans to use the SLRC for multiple job sites, he can either select a code (from 1 to 99) and enter it in both the remote and the SmartLine® controller, or he can utilize a Weathermatic factory-synched, one-to-one SLRC remote/ receiver relationship with proprietary one-in-a-billion frequency selector.
The SLRC measures just 2 inches by 3 inches and has a bright LCD screen that displays zone number, RF signal indicator and hourglass icon for zone run time.
Individual zones can be identified and run from one to 90 minutes or an entire program (A, B, C and D) can be accessed and run for the pre-set length of time.
SLRC remotes are available with a range of mounting options if a SmartLine communications hub is not already in place, including internal mount wireless receiver hub; internal/external mount wireless receiver hub; SLRC adapters; and SLHUB-RF.
The SLRC operates on two AAA batteries.
