Grass Stitcher

Grass Stitcher is a hand tool that allows lawn-care professionals to repair damaged lawn areas quickly, easily and inexpensively, the company says.

The patent-pending Grass Stitcher enables users to repair bare lawn areas in minutes with just three steps: rolling the implement over the trouble spot, spreading grass seed and sprinkling with water. It can be used for reseeding areas damaged by pet urine or insects and for transforming thin areas into lush lawns.

The Grass Stitcher’s angled, spiked wheels create a good environment for seed germination. When the tool is rolled over the ground, it makes holes surrounded by loosened soil. When seeds are spread and then watered, they nestle into the hole and are covered by the loosened soil. Remaining dead grass provides the mulch necessary to retain moisture and protect the germinating seeds from the sun. The Grass Stitcher’s leveraged handle ensures correct planting depth every time, the company says.
