MANSFIELD, Mass. – Determined to provide the best quality and lowest maintenance pond products, Laguna is releasing an improved series of Pressure Flo Filters. The high pressure 1000 – 4000 gallon UV filters are designed with enhanced filtration features for clean, pristine ponds. Click-Fit fast connectors make setup simple, and cleaning the filter quick, clean work.
The new Pressure Flo Filters include improved UV bulbs (13 to 36 watts) guaranteed to kill algae and eliminate green water. An LED indicator shows when the lamp is running. The Pressure Flo 2000 – 4000 models also include upgraded biological media (BioLava) to improve biological filtration. The large porous surface of the BioLava rocks promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria and has proven to be more effective at removing ammonia than traditional bio balls.
New mechanical filtering foams are made more durable for a longer lasting, easier to clean product. The cleaning handles and valve diverter were redesigned to be more durable and easier to use. The improved handles are also ergonomically shaped for user comfort. The UV head now includes fastening screws permanently attached to the unit, making maintenance simple and easy, with no more lost screws.
The system is designed to work in tandem with a solids handling pump such as Laguna’s Max-Flo, which first removes solid waste. During the Pressure Flo’s mechanical filtration stage, water is collected into the filter with a pressurized vortex where durable foam filters intercept and trap dirt and debris. This dirt-free water then passes along an integrated UV-C lamp, where it is exposed to ultraviolet rays that inhibit the growth of single-celled algae organisms. The thoroughly cleansed water then returns to the pond, keeping fish healthy.
To keep internal filtering equipment clean and running smoothly, the Pressure Flo system includes a revolutionary Backwash-Cleaning System that completely cleans the surface of foam filters. An indicator makes it simple to tell when the filter needs clearing. Durable pump handles atop the filter quickly and easily clear foam filters of debris without opening the filter or getting hands dirty.
The new line of Laguna Pressure Flo Filters from The Rolf C. Hagen Corp. is named based on pond gallon size. For example, the Pressure Flo 1000 is designed to keep an average pond holding up to 1000 gallons of water clear and beautiful. A pond in direct sunlight with a large load of fish may require twice the filtration effort, so this same model would support up to 500 gallons. Choosing a filter slightly bigger than needed ensures optimum filtration.
The Pressure Flo 1000 has a $299.99 MSRP, and the Pressure Flo 2000 has an MSRP of $339.99. For larger ponds the Pressure Flo 3000 is available with an MRSP of $399.99, and the Pressure Flo 4000 has an MSRP of $499.99. For more information contact your Rolf C.
